Description: Catchphrase – A flavour worth tasting. RP: Mixed Beans was held near the airport in a modern warehouse complex with a large enclosed courtyard to hang out in. Inside – big sound, lots of lighting and lasers buzzing constantly over the crowd zapping the Mixed Beans logo (amongst other designs) onto a giant overhead projection sheet. There were big podiums on either side of the elevated DJ stand (I spent most of the night on the one to the left hand side which were great to look out over the sea of raving faces from. The party was one of the last of an era in some ways. It was pretty big – probably 2000+ in attendance – and there was an interesting mix of ravers (including a sizeable gay contingent) that wasn't really seen that wasn't really seen as much after Mixed Beans.
